Solve Spotify Playlist Keeps Saying 'Waiting to Download' A Spotify user made a playlist on his desktop client and enabled the 'Available Offline' feature in order to play the playlist on his phone offline. Spotify won t play music. However, when he tried to download the playlist on his device, it didn't work and it was stuck on 'Waiting on Download'. I have the same problem with my 'liked songs' playlist. It's been 2 days I think when I noticed that my spotify is stuck to 'waiting to download'. I tried connecting to a different wifi, reinstalled the app or even redownloaded the songs on my phone/laptop but unfortunately none of them worked. Go to playlists on your iPhone. If you haven't yet, download your new Local Files playlist. This, at least in my situation, magically cured this issue. All of the files now started downloading on my iPhone. After success, be sure to turn off the 'download using cellular' unless you don't mind Spotify downloading music when you're not on wifi. As you can see this playlist is stuck on downloading. I was able to download a few local files however all playlists I wasn't able to download are now stuck on waiting. I've tried restarting the app and stopping the download but nothing fixes it. Also couldn't find much info online as most of these issues are for mobiles. Any help appreciated! I used Tweakbox to install Spotify and I’m trying to download the music in my playlist but it says “Waiting to download” and I don’t think anything is actually downloading.
